As you may be aware, many of the ailments that human beings suffer from, tend to take root in a low oxygen environment.  For instance, fungus, yeasts and many bacteria are anaerobic and can only live in a low oxygen environment.  If these life forms are exposed to a high oxygen environment, they simply die and can be disposed of by the body.

 

This explains why people suffer from complaints such as fungus and yeast infections at their extremities such as their toes where the blood supply is not so good, or where conditions are damp and humid much of the time.  Or for example, women may suffer from yeast problems, because certain areas of the body are an ideal environment for such anaerobic life forms.  

 

At this 'exterior' level, and at the correct therapeutic level, ozone therapy cleans, sterilizes and kills yeast and bacteria on contact.  

 

An example using the MRSA infection really shows ozone's potency.

 

You probably know MRSA as the 'superbug' which is reportedly out of control in UK hospitals.  Many people contract this infection when they are in hospital and have to be kept in medical isolation to prevent further infection of others.  Doctors are at a complete loss what to do with this infection, and there is only one anti-biotic left which appears to have any impact upon the infection, and then its action can not guaranteed.

 

However a recent study carried out using ozone therapy by Dr. S. Deb, was presented at the 15th World Congress of the International Ozone Associations Medical Conference.  Though his study was only small in numbers, and he is at present awaiting a possible start date for a full scale trial, he reported the following:

 

'Although the number of cases treated with ozone is small... the results achieved were 100% success.'

 

Also in follow-up monitoring for up to 12 weeks, there was no re-infection.

 

During ozone therapy such as ozone sauna therapy, the ozone, as mentioned above, first makes contact with the skin.  However after that, if the conditions are right [i.e. warm and damp], it is absorbed into the skin and tissues.  

 

The beneficial impact of ozone's oxygenation of body tissues can be seen when it is used in this way [using bagging method] for people suffering from gangrene arising from infection, diabetes or bad circulation. Many people with these conditions have been significantly helped by ozone therapy.

 

But hopefully you are not suffering such an illness as described above.  These were described for you to get a sense of ozone therapy's potency and also its safety [when it is used therapeutically at the right dosage].  However, in preventative terms, oxygenation of the body really is an issue for all of us.  

 

 


 

 

Frank Shallenberger M.D. who is a long time ozone researcher and is best known in the United States for treating AIDS patients with a holistic protocol including ozone writes the following about the effect of therapeutically applied ozone on the body.

 

According to Shallenberger, bio-oxidative therapies affect the human body in the following ways:

  1. They stimulate the production of white blood cells, which are necessary to fight infection.

  2. ozone and hydrogen peroxide are anti-virucidal. 

  3. They increase oxygen and hemoglobin disassociation, thus increasing the delivery of oxygen from the blood to the cells. 

  4. Ozone and hydrogen peroxide are anti-neoplastic, which means that they inhibit the growth of new tissues like tumors. 

  5. They oxidize and degrade petrochemicals.

  6. They increase red blood cell membrane distensibility, thus enhancing their flexibility and effectiveness. 

  7. Bio-oxidative therapies increase the production of interferon and Tumor Necrosis Factor, which the body uses to fight infections and cancers.

  8. They increase the efficiency of the anti-oxidant enzyme system, which scavenges excess free radicals in the body.

  9. They accelerate the Citric Acid Cycle, which is the main cycle for the liberation of energy from sugars. This then stimulates basic metabolism. It also breaks down proteins, carbohydrates and fats to be used as energy.

  10. Bio-oxidative therapies increase tissue oxygenation, thus bringing about patient improvement.
